  Could I get disfellowshipped for this?

  ooops i think i went and did it this time.

  could i get in serious trouble over this?

  i didn't go to the meeting on sunday, and lazed about the house instead and listened to a bit of the meeting on the phone.

  I would just deny all knowledge and say that they must have written down the address wrong

  Are you sure they were "holiday" witnesses and not new the the congregation ? It could have been their first meeting

  that is what i want to ask my jw wife now.....cause my sister (lesbian who left jw 35 years ago) does.....and several new friends here at jwd seem to as well.........so if she loves me....and they love me.....why can't they love each other too????......................oompa.

  I asked my husband if he loved me and he said "no" The pain was terrible, it felt like a physical stab in my heart.

  i am going to have an interview for a chirpractor's assistant's job this morning.

  i was raised in a family of chiropractors and this looks like a good fit for me.

  please send out the prayers and thoughts from now through the interview at 8:30 am and through out the day in the minds of the interviewers.

  Let's Hear it For Simon -Thanks For This Board - And All it Accomplishes

  i think it's only appropriate to put out a thread to thank simon for the great job he does in moderating this board, watching over discussions to make sure that the purpose of jwd discussion stays focused .

  i believe that he and the mods do a great job in helping this board along in it's journey - and enables us to have the freedom of speech- without having fear of reprisal - as long as the guidelines are met.

  so, i for one would like to personally thank you simon - for bringing this board into existence, as it has helped many to be able to vent after leaving the jehovah's witnesses cult, and get support, and for others it has helped them have a great place to discuss many important topics that have a heavy play in many of our lives !

  I have seen many exJW sites come and go, some start off really good, but deteriorate because they dont feel their sites should be moderated . This board shows how well balanced the moderation is.

  ive viewed this site from time to time over the years and thought it was about time i made a contribution.. last monday morning, glorious day, i was on the phone when the doorbell rang.

  two happy, smiling jehovahs witness ladies.

  they agreed to call back in ten minutes.

  i mean , really freaked out !

  you just have to tell your boss you can't go to the job out of town !

  so , i did go on the out of town job, went to the memorial, however that was not enough.

  I feel a bit guilty, cos I use to give my husband a bad time. He missed quite a few through his job and I got sick and tired of being questioned at the meetings about why he wasnt there again.

  I do remember one period when I didnt want to go to meetings and he said he was going to the elders !!!! He says he doesnt remember.

  one day, at a bus stop there was a girl who was wearing a skintight miniskirt.

  when the bus arrived and it was her turn to get on, she realized that her skirt was so tight she couldn't get her foot high enough to reach to step.

  thinking it would give her enough slack to raise her leg, she reached back and unzipped her skirt a little.
